PSA Hosts Karinna Moskalenko


On April 24, 2008, at PSA, Karinna Moskalenko, a noted Russian human rights attorney, met with a group of Russian experts to discuss international human rights, rule of law, and the US-Russian relationship.

In Russian and international courts, Ms. Moskalenko has represented chess champion and dissident leader Gary Kasparov, the families of murdered spy Alexander Litvinenko and journalist Anna Politkovskaya, imprisoned former Yukos head Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Chechen war victims and many others.

Ms. Moskalenko joined PSA and resident experts in DC to discuss timely issues, including Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's recent platform for judicial reform, and it's implications for human rights advocates in Russia. PSA Board Member Thomas Pickering, former US Ambassador to the Russian Federation attended, along with Ambassador Stuart Eizenstat.
