On January 28th and 29th, 2010, in Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina, Partnership for a Secure America, the Reserve Officers Association, and CNA sponsored a series of private meetings on the national security implications of climate change and America's energy posture. Vice Admiral Dennis McGinn of the CNA Military Advisory Board, PSA Executive Director Matthew Rojansky, and ROA Defense Education Forum Director Bob Feidler met with local business owners, utility company executives, and other community leaders from the Columbia area for a lunch and a dinner on the 28th. They also held a private luncheon in Charleston on the 29th.

Adm. McGinn, Mr. Rojansky, and Mr. Feidler were also taken on a tour of the University of South Carolina's Biomass Facility. Adm. McGinn was interviewed on NPR's "The Big Picture on Radio" and the South Carolina Radio News Network, and Mr. Rojansky was interviewed by Frank Knapp of WOIC Columbia. Coverage of the Biomass Facility visit appeared on the evening news of the local FOX affiliate, and David Slade wrote a piece for Charleston's Post & Courier.
