Charles Carithers joins PSA’s Board of Directors

Partnership for a Secure America (PSA) is pleased to announce that Charles Carithers has joined its Board of Directors.
Mr. Carithers has experience in the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC), Legislative Branch, and private sector. His extensive knowledge and insights in these areas will further strengthen PSA's mission of fostering bipartisanship and informed decision-making on critical security issues.
A Principal at Cornerstone Government Affairs, Mr. Carithers advises clients on matters relating to national security, defense, and homeland security. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Mr. Carithers spent time in public service. He served as a professional staff member advising Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) on the House Committee on Homeland Security. Prior to his work with the Committee, he spent 11 years in the IC, where he held various leadership positions, including associate deputy director of public affairs for the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA). Mr. Carithers also made notable contributions as a senior policy officer developing national-level policies within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), and is the recipient of the Joint Civilian Service Commendation Award and Medal and the Secretary of Defense Global War on Terrorism Award and Medal.
Mr. Carithers is also actively involved in organizations such as the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia Leadership Council, Council on Foreign Relations, the National Security Institute at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School, and the Council of Advisors for Black Professionals in International Affairs. He is a graduate of Morehouse College and Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and he teaches as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University.
