REPORT AUTHORS PRESENT FINDINGS TO FISSILE MATERIALS WORKING GROUP
Thursday, October 4th – Authors of the report “Empowering Congress on Nuclear Security: Blueprints for a New Generation” presented the findings of their joint study and report to the Fissile Materials Working Group. The Fissile Materials Working Group (FMWG), is a coalition of 80 civil society organizations from around the world working to provide actionable policy solutions to keep the world safe from nuclear terrorism.
Members of this group include scientists, former ambassadors, and some of civil society’s foremost thought leaders in nuclear security. Attendees at this meeting provided feedback, thoughts, and recommendations on the implications of this joint study and how its findings can be used to improve engagement with Congress on this critical issue.
